Atlantic Braids Ltd. is a leading Canadian manufacturer of quality braided rope and cordage products. Our standard line of exceptional rope and cordage products are complimented by our customized rope design service which permits the customer to choose colour and fibre combinations that uniquely meet their needs.All production and distribution takes place at our plant located approximately 1 hour East of Ottawa, just off Hwy. 417 or 35 minutes West of Montreal, off Aut.40.

History

Atlantic Braids Ltd. opened it doors in 1976 under the name Mariner Marine. At the time the two owners were manufacturing a handful of rope and cordage products in the basements of their respective homes on the western edge of Montreal. In 1978 they became incorporated, the name was changed to Atlantic Braids Ltd., and one year later the production was moved to a larger basement location in Chute-à-Blondeau, Ontario,and the first employees were hired at this time.

As 1984 rolled around the basement was busting at the seams which led to the ground breaking of their first industrial building.Between 1984 and 1995 production was split between the basement and our current location. Increased demand for our premier quality rope and cordage products led to three plant expansions over this period ending with all production located within the same building.

In 2002, a slight change in ownership took place to lead the company into the future. Under the new ownership and with the experience of our staff we have expanded production in several new directions. In the fall of 2006 we began construction for an expansion to our original plant. The extra space will allow us to streamline our production process as well as expand into new markets. We are looking forward to our increased capacity and hope to better serve our customers over the next 30 years.
